Mentoring Circle – Places Available

Temple Street Jobcentre in Central Bristol has places available on the March 2020 cohort of its successful mentoring programme.

The Mentoring Circle is open to those aged 16 – 24 years and in receipt of a primary benefit such as Universal Credit.

What is a Mentoring Circle?

A type of action learning set focusing on your personal development and the mentor’s too. Action learning is a process which enables you to bring issues or challenges to the group and work and learn together, take action and reflect on outcomes. Action learning can enable you to talk to others who are facing the same barriers and show you that you are not on your own.

Who is involved?

Nina, the Corporate Social Responsibility Co-ordinator for Kier Construction in Bristol, is the Mentor and will be facilitating 4 sessions within March and April. Delivery material is prepared and scheduled but is flexible as Nina has her own unique origin story, employment sector insight and personal style of inspiring people which will make for a very interesting and dynamic programme.

An insight into an employment sector with a wide variety of job roles will be a great bonus and the mentoring support will be tailored to each individual who will likely have differing goals and ambitions.

What are the benefits of being mentored?

· Access to a high performance individual

· Boost your confidence through expert guidance and feedback

· Shortcut your learning curve

· Discover various career paths tailored to your aspirations

· Increase your awareness of where employers advertise their vacancies
