Come back to care campaign

Come back to care’ campaign Bristol City Council is inviting anyone who has worked in children’s or adult social care to consider re-joining social work during the Covid-19 pandemic to support the most vulnerable in Bristol.

·  Under emergency government powers given to Social Work England, anyone who has left the Social Worker register since 18 March 2018 will have their registration temporarily renewed automatically so they can return to social care work as quickly as possible during the pandemic.

· Posts are available for a minimum of 18.5 hours per week Monday to Friday with some evening/weekend hours for adult social workers.

Returning social workers will receive a full package of induction, training and support. There are separate application routes for child and adult social care roles, and the closing date is 26 April.

· Returning social workers can apply via Bristol City Council’s job site. Contact childsocialwork@bristol.gov.uk  or adultsocialwork@bristol.gov.uk for more information before applying.
