Adult taster courses

These tasters are designed to give learners an opportunity to learn new skills that can help them and others around them. Topics to choose from include: Beginners maths and English Community Volunteering Family Learning Courses are 3 hours per week for 10 weeks. Courses are delivered at various times during the day and evening to fit around life and other commitments.

ESOL vocational taster courses

These tasters are designed to give you a better understanding of the work you could do and language used. Topics you can choose from include:

  • Care
  • Construction
  • Enterprise Digital Skills
  • Cooking and Conversation
  • Conversation for Employment

Courses are 3 hours per week for 10 weeks with support from industry experts and an ESOL lecturer. See more details and how to book on the flyer.

Good to Go

The Good to Go course is an employability course created to respond to the identified needs of adult ESOL learners.

ESOL learners in the local community have poor progression from ESOL onto further courses.

It was identified retention of those ESOL learners was also very poor.

The Good To Go course aims to address the identified issues. It is designed to increase confidence across multiple platforms including: spoken contribution, how to address awareness of own issues, study skills and self-belief. The course aims to improve individual personal development and identify what career the learner wishes to pursue.

Its main focus is to create ambition for each individual, and a strong belief the ambition can be achieved. See more details and how to book a place on the flyer.
