ACP Animal Care Traineeships

We would love to support some of your participants by helping them to take their first steps into a career within animal care.

We are currently looking for jobseekers who are currently unemployed and aged 19 – 24 who are looking to get into animal care via our traineeship and qualified below a level 3 (although happy to give advice, signpost and refer for vacancies if we have anything suitable). Ideally they will not have an animal qualification but if it is a level 1, this is fine as we offer the Level 2. Learners will gain a Level 2 City & Guilds qualification in Animal Care and many of the hosts are looking to recruit staff off the back of the programme. (As mentioned above, please feel free to send us anyone who wants to work with animals as we also have contacts and partnerships with employers with the recruitment side off the business which can also help!) We are more than happy to give out free advice and help where we can!)

We also have a mentor called Rory, who works in animal care who also works with the Princes Trust. He is able to offer support to learners who want to move on into self employment too.

We have had lots of employer interest in the South West, North West and The Midlands and are currently enrolling candidates in the region, so any referrals or recommendations of where to find candidates would be greatly appreciated. We are new to the area in terms of working with referral partners, so any suggestions I would really appreciate it!
