Are you a refugee or non-EU migrant living in Bristol?

IMPACT is running free service to support refugees and migrants to build their confidence and gain useful skills for life in the UK. We offer three strands in the project, and are currently running the programme online via ZOOM: ‘Create and Communicate’ sessions: Weekly workshops bringing people together and practising English through relaxing crafting and creative activities, often inspired by nature. We also run a  fortnightly women’s only space to enable women to meet with, talk to and support other women with a cup of tea and a few activities thrown in there as well. Preparation for work: This includes weekly workshops where we meet experts and learn about their professional journey and weekly group employment skills sessions. Virtual Jobs Fair on 8th September

The next Virtual Jobs Fair is on 8th September,11.00 -12.30 . We are running this jointly between DWP, National Careers Service and all four Local Authorities in the West of England which reflects the travel to work area we live and work in.  It will be held again on Twitter and Facebook and we are encouraging employers to make themselves available during the time so that they can answer questions by DM (which is as near as we can get to a face to face Jobs Fair at the moment). WECIL is  running online course and they have just announced the next block of sessions. They offer a short, bite-sized online employment course that focusses on helping people prepare for work.
