Bristol WORKS aims to make quality experiences of work and apprenticeships available to every young person. Bristol WORKS is building an innovative education, business and community partnership that aims to raise the aspirations of young people and their parents/carers through the development of experience of work opportunities and clear post 16 pathways for all young people. WORKS recognised that there are more opportunities for young people to engage with the working world than just a traditional work experience. Using an experience of work framework , WORKS collaborates with schools, provisions and employers to develop a bespoke careers plan and programme of activity for students that is both aspirational and showcases the diverse opportunities available within the City. Further information about the type of activity that has been developed can be viewed on the WORKS webpage news section.
Covid 19 Update:
WORKS has turned from face to face delivery to a virtual and an electronic resource to inspire young people across Bristol and provide career insight and knowledge around the various pathways and Post 16 opportunities available. We are sharing resources to schools via a newsletter on a fortnightly basis and are adding new content every Friday to the WORKS website including a mix of remote and film resources. Please see the following pages: – https://www.bristol.works/remotelearning ; https://www.bristol.works/remote-film-content for our remote content.
