Building Better Opportunities is a Carers Support Centre project that supports carers aged 16+ to feel more confident and better prepared to access training, volunteering and employment opportunities across Bristol, South Gloucestershire, Bath or North Somerset. The project is part of West of England Works Building Better Opportunities project.
We are partnering with various charities and organisations across the region to raise awareness of the opportunities available to carers and how to access them, this could be anything from training courses that improve confidence levels or brushing up on your IT skills, to flexible volunteering/employment opportunities from local employers. Carers will receive Individual tailored support through our team of officers who will work with each carer on a 1:1 basis to establish their needs, creating a supportive action plan that fits around their caring responsibilities.

The support available for carers currently in work is as follows:

- Carers helpline and email service providing information, advice and signposting
- 1:1 confidential support sessions and surgeries
