Feb 21 Update from Ways2Work

Ways2Work News

Welcome to the February update of what’s going on with Ways2Work and the Employment Support team. We’ve got a lot of projects starting and progressing but I’m going to start by telling you about some of the developments on the Ways2Work website.

The Your Sector page is where you can find information for employment and training professionals. You can sign up to daily and/or weekly emails on this page, booking places at the next Ways2Work Network Meeting and see the latest news posts relevant to you.

The other sections of the website are Your Ways2Work for individuals looking for employment support or training options. This page will soon have the benefit of the One Front Door service – see below for more details, and Your Workforce is the page for employers looking for support with recruitment and staff training.

Ways2Work Network Meeting news: We don’t have a network meeting this month, our next one is Tuesday, 9 March at 10am on Teams. You can book a place now at the network meetings section of ‘Your Sector’ on the Ways2Work website.

One Front Door

One Front Door will provide a service that delivers a range of resources to assist individuals, employers and providers. We will provide personalised employment support that meets the needs of both the work ready and those with complex barriers preventing them from entering the job market. We will offer assistance to employers to help them match the right people to the right jobs and guidance on how to be inclusive employers. Employers and
providers will be offered opportunities to promote their organisations and the chance to share insights into how they can help.
We will provide significant signposting all participants to further information, resources and programmes and match vacancies with jobseekers throughout Bristol and the West of England, helping them to develop their careers. This service is open to everyone and individuals can register for it through a variety of routes- email, telephone, webchat and
social media (coming soon).
Keep an eye out for our launch event where we will be sharing more information on One Front Door including how to sign up!
