The theme for Mental Health Awareness Week this year is Nature. Getting outside has been crucial during the pandemic as a way of looking after ourselves. Now spring has arrived, it’s a great time to get outside again.
Whether you’re looking for work or just thinking about making some changes, it’s a great idea to take advantage of spring and the outdoors for a bit of extra self-care. Job searching can be stressful, and you want to make sure you are feeling at your best when the interview offers come rolling in!
Our West of England Works team will be outside with a stall at the Greenway Centre to celebrate.
Come and talk to our employment mentors with any questions about your job search!

West of England Works
West of England Works provides one-to-one support for people looking to start job searching, access training opportunities or gain employment.
Working closely with an Employment Mentor, an individual will co-create a personalised action plan to identify and address barriers, set goals, and develop skills.
We’ve continued to offer this vital support online and on the phone during Covid. We can also offer a safe space at Greenway Centre for both indoor and outdoor appointments.
We’re welcoming two new mentors to our West of England Works team this spring!
Sarah is a careers adviser and teacher with 15 years experience of working in adult education and careers embedded in both community and educational settings.
Shazy has previously worked with training providers designing and delivering apprenticeships particularly in Retail and Customer Service. She is also a coach and enjoys facilitating group sessions and workshops.
We’re so pleased that they’ve been able to join our team and can work with North Bristol residents to achieve their goals.
