From the Post 16 team at Bristol City Council:
There is growing evidence that a significant number of young people have not yet taken up their offered Post 16 places with local providers. Some young people may still be on holiday. However, we know that there is a lot of anxiety amongst parents/carers and young people about using public transport and the safety of classroom-based provision. More worryingly, some young people may have disengaged with education, training or employment and will need lots of encouragement and support to get back on track.
Post 16 provision across the city is open and awaiting your arrival to enrol on courses and programmes.
If you are feeling unsure about your next steps and have not yet enrolled (confirmed your place with your chosen college, sixth form or Post 16 provider) please make direct contact with them and they will guide you through next steps. This can be done through calling them or through checking their website.
If you have no firm plans yet and require more support please contact the Post 16 team who will be happy to help you at this important time. 0117 3525750 or firstname.lastname@example.org or have a look on http://www.p16p.co.uk for the range of local provision available.
