Please see below information regarding Sports England Inequalities Funding some of you may be interested in applying for?
This Inequalities funding aims to support targeted groups in communities who have been most affected by the conditions that the lock-down has created which has seen their activity levels dramatically affected. Wesport, who are administering the funds on behalf of Sport England, are requesting expressions of interest from partners who can help reduce the negative impact of COVID-19 and the widening of the inequalities in sport and physical activity.
Wesport are happy to provide support and guidance on how local projects can add to their existing offer to vulnerable groups to enable them to maintain physical fitness. For example in one area of Bristol the local food bank has supplemented their offer with physical activity information, resistance bands and packs for children including skipping ropes/chalk etc. They are also interested in how other setting like care homes and sheltered housing could support their older residents to keep active at this time. You can contact email@example.com for more information and advice or please do contact me if you would like help with your project idea in the first instance.
If you have a project idea please do express interest as soon as possible – initial expression of interest deadline is by Friday 26th June.
