Updated Government guidance

We have a new rapidly changing environment of Government guidance. Changes will start coming into effect on Wednesday 13th May. I found this page the most useful for working out what’s going on: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/coronavirus-outbreak-faqs-what-you-can-and-cant-do/coronavirus-outbreak-faqs-what-you-can-and-cant-do

It says garden centres will be opening and has a short section on workers’ rights and public transport. If you’d like to read the whole plan, the roadmap section was the most interesting for me, you can find it here: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/our-plan-to-rebuild-the-uk-governments-covid-19-recovery-strategy

We are expecting further guidance on making workplaces ‘COVID-19 Secure’ to be released today. The TUC has some guidance on workers’ rights if there are safety concerns: https://www.tuc.org.uk/blogs/can-i-refuse-work-because-coronavirus-we-explain-your-rights

I’m sure there will be a lot more information and guidance coming out over the next few days.
