Bristol Community Learning

community learning

We are part of Bristol City Council’s Employment, Skills and Learning Team. Our role is to help adults with few or no qualifications to gain skills and build confidence.

DETAILS

Bristol Community Learning offer a range of courses that aim to help people gain the skills and knowledge they need to progress into apprenticeships, work, volunteering or further education.  Our courses are aimed at adults aged 19+ who have few or no formal qualifications and face significant barriers to further learning or work.

Bristol Community Learning courses are FREE and can help develop self-confidence, health and wellbeing, employability, maths, English and digital skills.  We also offer family learning for those wanting to help their children learn at home and courses for people wanting to volunteer, keep hold of a tenancy or gain a qualification in areas such as Health and Social Care, Childcare, First Aid or Food Safety.

Currently, courses will take place online using Zoom, Google Classroom, Facebook. Therefore, learners need a smart phone, laptop or tablet and data/Wi-Fi for internet use. HOWEVER, we are also able to loan out tablets to some learners and provide Wi-Fi bundles to help learners with limited access to data.

Courses will also be offered face to face as soon as it is safe to do so. So, you can express an interest now and we will contact you when we are back in the classroom.
