In proper news, for vulnerable customers, Bristol City Council’s free We Are Bristol coronavirus hotline will be open during the bank holiday weekend:
Our dedicated free telephone hotline to help Bristol’s most vulnerable citizens during the coronavirus pandemic will be available during the bank holiday weekend at the following times:
Friday: 10am – 2pm
Saturday: 10am – 2pm
Sunday: 10am – 2pm
Monday: 10am – 2pm
The We Are Bristol support phone number – 0800 694 0184 – is free to use and has already received almost 1,000 calls since opening. It offers a potential lifeline to isolated and worried residents across the city. Call handlers are available during office hours (8.30am-5pm, Monday to Friday) and weekends (10am – 2pm) to provide support for people with a wide range of needs, including obtaining food supplies, other essential items and medication. They can also help arrange follow-up support with different organisations.
